Senior Engineer Piling Major Rail Project Permanent

Our Client is a Top Global Geo-Technical Contractor and they have completed many projects to a very high standard. Due to continued growth they are actively seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join them on a major Rail Project in Brackley. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a company that has a reputation of the highest standard in geo technical global projects and offers great career progression with exposure to some high profile projects.

Responsibilities:

Manage day to day site engineer operational tasks to ensure construction is conducted in a safe manner, within budget, on schedule and in accordance with the appropriate standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements

• • To assist the Project Manager to plan, lead, coordinate and manage the activities across multiple sites to ensure agreed targets and standards of safety, quality, culture and legislative adherence are achieved. Attendance at Client progress meetings as required.
  • Carrying out regular inspections to monitor performance and ensure health & safety compliance throughout the construction process
  • Maintain site diary
  • Ensure works are carried out to the Project Specifications in line with the appropriate ITPs and that accurate completion records are collated and in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communicate with Supervisors to ensure full understanding of provided information.
  • Ensure handovers and briefings are executed effectively and that methodology and risks are clearly communicated to the entire site team.

• • Actively participate in Daily Briefings and Safety Visits to identify site safety and environmental hazards and implement measures to address these.
  • Report regularly on all construction activities including budget, scheduling, personnel, and other resource requirements
  • Assist the estimating team in the preparation of the project estimate or cost plans
  • Contribute to work planning, and briefing project teams, contractors, and suppliers
  • Full handover of projects

• Requirements:
• Previous experience of major civil engineering projects.
• Proven experience within a similar position with Rotary Bored Piling experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• CSCS Card of appropriate category.
• Full driving licence.
• A good level of numeracy, analytical by nature, and a problem solver.
• SSSTS/SMSTS.
• CPCS Appointed Person for Lifting Operations.
• IT literate including MS Word & Excel.
• Commercial knowledge of NEC form of Contract.
• Fully conversant with requirement of SPERW 3^rd Edition.
